Israeli Wine Tweetups are Coming: For Twitterers ONLY!

I hope more of you will start to follow me on Twitter - the group messaging and micro-blogging platform.
Recently, Massachusetts retailer Bind Ends Wine hosted a virtual wine tasting via, you guessed it, Twitter! (Sounds like they’ll be doing this monthly now.)
They first sent out the list of wines that were going to be tasted in advance to allow their followers time to buy them. Then they used Twitter to broadcast to their followers their virtual tasting plans. Finally, during the virtual tasting people used Twitter to shout out their thoughts and questions real-time.
Israeli Wine Direct plans to do something similar EXCEPT with a cool twist …. in states where we can ship Direct to Consumer, we’ll send groups (10+ people, ok?) a 3-pack of pre-selected wines when the groups agree to gather for the virtual tasting and then LIVE Tweet, Twitpic, take and share photos on our Flickr stream, blog about the wines, etcetera!
Date, time, and wine choices are forthcoming.
