“Kosher” Is Not a Country!

Please watch this video and help me KILL once and for all the misperception that a wine’s “kosher” status makes the wine anything less (or more) than exactly what it is.

We carry 3 great wines from Israel that just happen to be kosher but I don’t want you to try them (or not) because they are kosher. I want you to try them because you like them, because you’re adventuresome and want to try wine from the Birthplace of Wine. IWD is totally focused on Israel as a BRAND – not whether a wine is kosher or not, but I felt it was imperative to address this kosher issue with our followers right away.

Heinz ketchup, Diet Coke, and Cheerios are all kosher – but you don’t buy them (or not) because they’re kosher, do you? Of course not! You buy them because they’re great brands that taste great and….also just happen to be kosher. I’ll bet you didn’t even realize they WERE kosher, did you?

Most of the stuff in your frig is kosher and you don’t even know it.

Enjoy the video and then MAKE SOME COMMENTS HERE BELOW! I want to hear from you.

What are the other ways we can begin to get people off of the Kosher = Nasty wagon besides the mindset in my videocast (i.e., you’re eating Kosher food every day and it’s not nasty now is it?).

One other way I think is to get people to taste Non Kosher Israeli Wine….and to stop leading with “kosher” as a key feature of Israeli wines…as in Who Really Cares unless you require kosher foods and then you know how to find kosher food believe me? We don’t tell people that Heinz is Kosher or Cheerios or Diet Coke, though they all are.
