The Houston Cellar Classic was a huge success. Friday night, 150 people paid $160 per person to taste some of the world's finest wines. Richard had five wines there. This was a serious reserve tasting, with wines on the table right next to the Israeli wines, like: Silver Oak, Far Niente, Gaja, Caymus Special Select, BV George LaTour...you get the idea. The Israeli wines were VERY well received. Saturday, the Grand Tasting event, featuring close to 200 wines, and a special table just for Israel, we poured every single drop, to over 790 people. This was very likely the largest single day's wine sales at any single retail location...ever. I was overwhelmed with how much everyone loved these wines, but was more moved by how many Arabs came to the Israeli table to drink wine with us, and buy Israeli wine. As Richard has said...wine brings people together. I was very proud to serve at Israel's table both days.
